Judith, thanks for the links. So far I have had a look at the Japanese based course and one of the phonetic description in the collection of links from your second URL and both look promising.

I do have some friends in/from QC that I can talk to occasionally. And there are some internet resources dedicated to that dialect, e. g.
http://www.coelang.tufs.ac.jp/modules/fr-ca-qc/dmod/index.html
http://www.lexilogos.com/quebecois_langue_dictionnaires.htm
As well as http://vtele.ca/ and Radio Canada and Youtube to hear some authentic speech.

Pretty cool.
What caught my interest is your plan to study Québécois. Where do you find resources to learn from, other than talking to Québécois? I picked up a little bit when I lived in Alberta (where I had the TV and one Québécois to talk to), but it was mostly passive knowledge plus a tiny bit of accent (nasals' articulation), which was later enormously amusing to my French friends. I will probably never need to use it actively, but knowing enough to understand some moderate form half way between joual and le francais du Radio Canada would be pretty good.
Québécois is one my list of languages which are unjustly overlooked by language textbook publishers. I would like to see some textbooks of Québécois, Scots, Yorkshireese and Bavaro-Austrian, in each case based on the related widely known language (FR, EN, GE).

Not sure, I'm just streaming it because it's generally a hassle to import stuff from China. Try searching for 有声书 二马 and you should find a vendor.

Hi, 2012 has an additional day. So you should have no problem with achieving 712 hours. In fact you should aim for 714 at least :-)

p.s. Naruto is Germany-only (you get only Sorry! Dieses Video darf in deinem Land nicht angezeigt werden.) but there are some public pirate sites to download German anime ;)

For other sources, I'm a big fan of the Deutsche Welle, but sometimes the programmes are in English and it's very annoying to wait. Fortunately, they have a YouTube channel, with all the Euromaxx chapters :D
